A magnificent day of motoring

The 2026 GV Relief Rally brought together more than 80 vehicles and a strong group of participants for a day of motoring, connection and community support across the region.

Delivered by MOVE in partnership with CMV Truck and Bus, Greater Shepparton, FOOTT, Fowles Wines and the Little Gourmet Food Company, the rally once again highlighted the strength of regional communities and the impact of coming together with purpose.

The day began with breakfast at FOOTT before participants travelled via Dookie and into Violet Town, where the convoy was warmly welcomed by locals. It was a moment that reflected the spirit of the day and the connection between communities.

The rally continued to Fowles Wines for lunch, where guests enjoyed outstanding hospitality, quality food and wine, and time to connect in a relaxed setting.

A highlight of the day was an address from Katie Hill of the Ruffy Community, who shared insights into the ongoing challenges facing the region and the importance of continued support.

Following the event, MOVE received the below message of thanks, reflecting the impact of the day:

“I would like to thank each of you for your warm welcome yesterday.

It’s beyond belief what assistance was offered to us in a matter of a few hours, and how much simpler you and your friends have made the way forward.

Personally, not having to chase funds for the next items we need, or even hope to have on hand, lifts a significant weight from my shoulders.

Please accept this as the ‘thinking group’s’ thanks, but also my deep personal gratitude.

We hope to see you all again soon, in Ruffy this time.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again, which simply doesn’t seem enough.”

Through the rally, MOVE is proud to have contributed meaningful financial assistance, alongside significant in kind support, with total contributions exceeding $10,000.
